Upcoming Online Music Industry Events and Resources – October + November 2020

PMA Academy: Global Month – October 13 at 9AM, October 20 at 3PM, & October 27 at 9AM (All times PST)

This October, the Production Music Association’s PMA Academy will be hosting a series of three hour-long events discussing regional current events in the production music world. Each week will focus on Europe, Australia/New Zealand, and Asia, respectively. The event will be held over Zoom and is completely free of charge. The PMA’s goal is to provide education, support, and advocacy for its music publisher and composer members at any stage in their career. Keep an eye out for the return of the PMC in 2021!

The Music Business Association Presents: Driving Change, Diversity & Inclusion in the Music Industry – October 20-22 12-3PM PST

The Music Business Association’s three-day Driving Change event will bring together music business executives and thought leaders for a series of action-based conversations on diversity and inclusion. Guests discuss how to take meaningful steps in supporting underrepresented communities in our industry, and what we can learn from each other to help institute positive change. A minimum donation of $1 is required to register for the online event.

Guild of Music Supervisors Fall Panel Series – October 22 at 3:30PM & October 29 at 3:30M (All times PST)

Tune into the Guild of Music Supervisors’ latest Zoom panels on the last two Thursdays of October. Catch their “TV Studios & Music Supervisors Panel” on October 22nd, and “Labels, Publishers, and Management Panel” on October 29th. Both events are free to attend, though registration is required at the link below. GMS has continued its work through the pandemic to help the community of Music Supervisors, Music Creators, and other leaders in the TV/Film industry stay connected and informed. New Music Conference 2020 – November 13, 2020 1:00AM PST

The New Music Conference brings together modern music professionals from around the globe with the goal of sharing knowledge and experience, and forming relationships. The program covers a wide and thorough range of topics from composition to modern music publishing. This year marks the second annual installment of the Dutch conference, which will take place on Friday, November 13th in the midst of the November Music festival in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. The New Music Conference will be streamed live in its entirety, free of charge, though registration in advance is required at the link below.
