February Updates: Symphonic Partnership, Best Audio Brands & Product News
Updated March 6, 2026
SourceAudio x Symphonic

We’re excited to announce a new partnership with Symphonic Distribution.
Symphonic artists and labels can now opt into SourceAudio’s AI music dataset licensing marketplace, opening up a new revenue stream from a part of the industry that’s growing fast. Participation is fully optional.
Artists retain ownership, nothing is included without an explicit opt-in, and every use is licensed and compensated.
Symphonic CEO Jorge Brea put it simply: “We fully believe that no one’s art should be used without their express permission and fair compensation.“
We share that belief and are focused on building real infrastructure around AI training with structured agreements, transparent reporting, and recurring revenue for rightsholders who choose to participate.
Our Article Is Live on amp’s Best Audio Brands 2026

We contributed a piece to amp’s Best Audio Brands 2026–now live as part of their 7th annual edition–and it pulls directly from what we see every day on the platform.
The piece looks at how sync decisions shifted in 2025: search behavior moved away from genre labels toward mood, pacing, and emotional function. Downloads grew from roughly 60 million to more than 95 million year over year. And the music that traveled furthest wasn’t necessarily the most prominent. It was the most adaptable.
The broader argument: sync is moving from instinct-driven to intelligence-informed. That shift is already visible in the data, and it’s shaping how the most effective creative teams work.
Brief Inbox: We Want to Hear From You

The Brief Inbox is now live in your SourceAudio workspace. It’s a shared place for networks, production teams, and catalogs to post briefs, pitch music, and track submissions in one place instead of across scattered email threads.
If you’ve already started using it, we’d really love to hear how it’s going! What’s working well, what’s missing, and what would make it more useful in your day-to-day workflow.
What you share directly influences how we evolve it from here.
