May at a Glance: A Product Update, the Brief Inbox, and a New AI Podcast
Updated June 1, 2026
The Brief Inbox didn’t slow down in May, and neither did we. Column customization shipped, and Drew made an appearance on Morning Brew’s new AI podcast to talk music and AI.
Drew on The Intelligence Shift
Drew Silverstein, our President and Head of AI Strategy, joined Morning Brew’s new podcast The Intelligence Shift for a conversation with PwC Chief AI Officer Dan Priest.
They got into Drew’s path from composer to building in music and AI, what the business model for AI music actually looks like, and the fear factor that still shapes how the industry talks about it.

A busy month in the Sync Inbox

The Brief Inbox stayed busy in May. We saw a major broadcast network looking for a playful, lyric-driven track, a premium cable network after big drums and trailer-style tension, and a few streaming platforms with requests of their own, from emotional pop for a reality show to instrumental alt-rock for an opening montage.
Catalogs on SourceAudio pitched these directly.
We’re also running The Sync Inbox weekly on LinkedIn now. Sync briefs from major networks and streaming platforms, posted every week. Follow us to catch them as they come in.
