How to label tracks with non-English lyrics for DSP distribution
Updated August 21, 2023
If your release batch contains any tracks sung primarily in a language other than English, please follow these steps.
Step 1. Head to your admin panel » Manage Metadata » Fields » Custom Fields.
Step 2. Click CREATE FIELD on the right, and name your new field DSP Language. After creating it, tick the Hide box for that field once it’s added to the list on that page of your custom fields.
Step 3. Use your DSP Language field to list the appropriate ISO 639 two-letter language code in the tracks’ metadata.
That’s it! Your tracks with non-English lyrics are now properly labeled and ready for DSP distribution.
